Owners
Kip and Kelly aren’t your typical business owners. With roots in the South as well as New York City, the couple moved to Memphis in early 2007. Unconventional yet solid, Kip and Kelly have varied business backgrounds from her stint as a visual display designer for department stores (you know, the designer of the cool window displays at Saks and Macy’s) to his position as publicity director at BMG and other Indie record labels. Both Kelly and Kip are successful musicians currently venturing into music projects. Kelly’s Eden Express and Kip’s Cloudland Canyon take up much of their spare time. The couple also helped found and open Odessa Art Space on Broad Street in Midtown Memphis in 2008.
Kelly’s first job in Memphis was with 2 Chicks and a Broom, setting up what was to become a solid future as owner of the company nearly two years down the road. Aside from being Kelly’s business partner, Kip runs a successful construction company and real estate investment firm. The two are proud parents to Scout and Atticus, their dachshund and rescued Heinz 57 pup, whom you’re likely to meet at the 2 Chicks retail store.
The Chicks
Our Chicks make 2 Chicks and a Broom successful. They rock – literally and figuratively. Our Chicks are college students, professionals making ends meet, thriving artists and rock stars on the verge of stardom. You never know – the person cleaning your living room today could be tomorrow’s next rock star or Vincent van Gogh!
