Two Chicks and a Broom was founded in 2002 with the mission of creating an eco-friendly business that offers an essential service: residential and commercial cleaning. The company meets the growing demand for environmentally responsible products and services as well as home cleaning that is safe for family members and pets.
The current owner, Jacqueline Janus, started working for the company in 2006 as a cleaner. Today, having worked in every position of the business that she owns, Jacqueline has unique insight into the perspective and needs of both clients and employees.

Two Chicks and a Broom utilizes the resources of a larger company with the values and personal touch of a small company. Our cleaning services are personalized and tailored to each individual client. We pay an unparalleled level of attention to clients’ individual preferences and needs, while offering all clients the guarantee that their home will be cleaned without the use of toxic or environmentally hazardous products. Building on the company’s 15-year legacy of service in the Memphis area, the current owner brings to bear her own years of experience in house-cleaning, including contributions to national publications such as Real Simple and HGTV Magazine. Two Chicks and a Broom is an A+ rated member of the Better Business Bureau as well as one of the Commercial Appeal’s ‘Memphis Most Awards’ winning companies 2016 - 2022. We further enhance the community by supporting a wide range of nonprofits and charities.
Our Products
Two Chicks takes the “green cleaning” concept to its apex, using professional, high-quality products that are biodegradable and certified non-toxic. The professional products we use have the same environmental and health safety as homemade DIY products, but with the effectiveness of professionally researched and expertly developed products.
Our Cleaners
We offer flexible and substantial employment opportunities to residents of our local area. Our employees include artists, musicians, students, and parents. We put their humanity first without sacrificing the quality of our services. Our cleaners are full employees, not independent contractors, meaning they receive benefits such as paid time off, employer tax contributions, and worker’s compensation. Additionally, the company pays for their supplies and provides them with a living wage that is well above the minimum. Many of our employees receive generous tips as well, in addition to seasonal bonuses. We take excellent care of our employees on the front end so that they will take excellent care of your home.
